Life in Buenos Aires

Alright... So, I know I haven't written ANYTHING since February 5th, so I've decided to write something of meaning this time. Since my last post, I've moved to my mother land: Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Not sure how many of you know this, but I was born here (Argentina) and moved to the states when I was a pup. I've been going back and forth over the years visiting my family in both places. I moved to BA in 2008 after a failed move to NY. Now I'm trying it out again. And this time, it's going a lot better than before.

Between going out like crazy and playing futbol (soccer) more often then not, it's been a blast.

I got a J-O-B at this sick NEW bar in San Telmo (one of the touristic hot spots), and have been making connections and re-connecting with old friends from the area.

All I can say is I'm a lot happier than I've been in a while and I hope things continue to move up for me and my loved ones.

Here are some pictures I've accumulated since I've been back in town:

The Dark (Kinky) Side of Vader

Captioned Randoms

"are yous talkin' to me?"

"I SAID NO FLASH, BITCH!"

"Hold still, I'm almost done."

"Up, down, up... down."

Virtual Wishing Machine

I heard some dude on the radio the other day (KFI 640 AM) talking about this machine that grants your wishes. After explaining how it works, which involves the 'soul of the universe', he talked about a link to his website (of which I can't remember), that had a virtual version of this wishing machine.

I want anyone who reads this to try it and tell me how it goes.

1. print the picture

2. on a piece of paper, write down a realistic wish (lose 5 lbs, good fortune, I don't know).

3. place the paper with the wish on top of the printed wishing machine.

4. leave in a place where it will not be disturbed.

The guy who was being interviewed said he tried it and it worked more times than not. But be careful, because everything the universe gives, it takes back in one form or another. You have been warned. Enjoy.

Marisa Miller... before S.I.

This summary is not available. Please click here to view the post.

Sasha Grey... OMG

"WHY ARE YOU SO HOT SASHA??"... is what I say to myself every time I see this girl. If you're a dude, then you probably already know who Sasha Grey is. If you don't, it's because you're either a girl or a fag. No offense to either demographic. Not only is she a major BABE, but now, she'd rather go naked than wear fur. ... which is very admirable, but I'm writing about her for the people who haven't yet discovered the magic that is Sasha Grey. I've decided to post a few pics of this veggie babe. Enjoy.

She'll have her cake and eat it too! Pun intended ;)

Lunch Time at Masa on Sunset

My lovely friend (who's sadly moving to Vegas) took me out to lunch today. We'll call my friend Lettuce. Lettuce chose to take us to Masa (1800 Sunset blvd.). The place was rather nice for a 'hipster' restaurant.

Though it was nice on the inside and the prices weren't terrible ($$), the Caesar salad I ordered was almost impossible to eat.
Instead of being in easy to fork portions, they prepared it like I was going to eat everything with my hands.

With huge leaves of romaine lettuce, huge pieces of parmesan cheese, huge whole croutons, and whole slices of bacon, it was almost a chore to eat. Besides the massive, giant-sized pieces of food, it was ok.

I give it 2.5 out of 5 stars.

Anti-Biking Fan Page on Facebook Makes My Blood Boil

Who do these fucking idiots think they are? I'm not sure if you (the reader) are aware that Facebook has an anti-cyclist fan page promoting violence which violates the Terms of Use. Many cyclist are outraged (including myself), that this group has reached 30,000 fans and is still up. Facebook's Simon Axten refuses to remove the group stating:

"We take our Statement of Rights and Responsibilities very seriously and react quickly to remove reported content that violates our policies. Specifically, we're sensitive to content that includes hate speech and/or actionable threats of violence. The goal of these policies is to strike a very delicate balance between giving Facebook users the freedom to express their opinions and beliefs, even controversial ones, and maintaining a safe and trusted environment.

We've reviewed this group and determined that it doesn't violate our policies. We encourage users to report anything they feel does violate these policies using the report links located throughout the site. Thanks."

Has this idiot even checked out the fan page?

I'm about to start riding my bike around with a nice big baseball bat. Just in case these a-holes think they can push us around:

Dear mother-fucker,

If you think you're going to "bully" me off the road, you've got another thing coming. Hope you're ready for Hell, cause it's coming.

Sincerely,

John

PS
Don't get upset when I get my license back and hit your stupid little kids on their bikes. Wouldn't that be funny???? Wouldn't it??? I'm gonna make a fan page for it haha! You fucking twats. Die slow.

Random Funnies

Do I need an excuse to post random funny pics? I didn't think so.

Oh Hello 2010

I didn't take many pictures the night of New Year's Eve... just because I was busy partying with friends and got too drunk to snap any. But here are some pics from before and possibly after. Let's hope 2010 is as good, if not better than 2009. (not all pictures taken by me.)
